The photography workshops are designed to facilitate a limited number of participants in each group that will have the opportunity to experience in-depth knowledge of the photographic medium in an environment of personalized education. We'll introduce you to photography's historical, contextual and technical aspects. All workshops are based on the use of digital photography.

 

On the course, you will gain a thorough overview of photography. We'll introduce you to photography's historical, contextual and technical aspects. You'll also have the opportunity to discuss and reference photographers and current exhibitions which will inspire and inform your work.

 

BEGINNERS

The participants will have an introduction on how to use digital cameras and experience important techniques. Additionally, through the view of important photographers, the aim is to develop their visual knowledge. This 16-week course meets once a week for approximately 2 hours and is based on shooting using digital cameras, editing and critiquing once a week.

 

Through the selection and discussion of the best images of the week, the participants will have the opportunity to see their technique and their overall approach improve week by week. The purpose is to guide the participants through theoretical, technical and aesthetic issues towards developing their own photographic identity. At the end of the course each participant will create a photographic portfolio that can be used as the base of their further develop their knowledge in photography.

 

ADVANCED

This 16-week advance workshop meets once a week for approximately 2 hours and is based on shooting using digital cameras, editing and critiquing once a week. Through the selection and discussion of the best images of the week, the students will have the opportunity to see their technique and their overall approach improve week by week.

 

The purpose is to guide the participants through theoretical, technical and aesthetic issues towards developing their own photographic identity. At the end of the course each participant will create a photographic portfolio that can be used as the base of their further development as photographers.
